It’s a hugely exciting time for the world of audio, and what an amazing first year it’s been for the team at Listen Entertainment.

 

We launched in October 2019 as the largest audio-only production company in the UK, creating a business that was future facing and heavily invested in the exciting changes the audio industry has experienced over the last few years.

A year later, and we have a huge amount to be proud of. As the world of audio evolves at an incredibly fast pace, we’ve placed ourselves right in the centre of the industry. Podcasting continues to go from strength to strength as listening numbers grow and more advertisers and big names enter the scene. In the meantime, radio is going nowhere, with listening figures across BBC and commercial networks remaining consistently high.

As our 1st birthday falls on the week of International Podcast Day, we wanted to share the incredible work that our team have created. We’ve produced a wide range of podcasts from the world of entertainment and comedy to documentaries, sport, wellbeing and more. We’re proud to have worked with some of the biggest brands and commissioners in the world from BBC Sounds, Spotify and Audible to MTV, BMW, Vodafone, Fiverr, Churchill and many more.

Over the past few months in particular, we’ve worked with clients to prove how valuable audio can be during a pandemic, both as an engaging format to enjoy and an opportunity to tell stories or share their messages.

Our podcasts have topped the charts, made international press, featured as Campaign Ad of the Day as well as helping increase BBC Sounds’ under 35-audience through The Gemma Collins Podcast.

We also remain incredibly proud of the work we produce in Radio. From our regular daily and weekly shows for BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music and Asian Network to reactive ‘lockdown’ content for Scala, Planet Rock and Kerrang! Radio, and numerous other special shows across the year. We’ve enjoyed working with amazing talent from across the board to entertain audiences and tell a wide range of compelling stories.

There’s a big future in audio, and we look forward to an equally exciting and busy Year 2!
